23 Years...

...Asssss-uhhhhh!

"Have you come to terms with your birthday, yet?"

Birthdays aren't just about aging and saying goodbye to a year gone by.
There are good things. There are those memories you made during the past year.  There are the people that come and go in your life. There are the experiences, the mistakes, the lessons learnt, and the new goals made.

Then there are those sweet moments that make living life awesome.

Today, I came into school a few minutes late (because its maw burday!) and on my desk was a cake with a folded up letter.  It was from my first grade coteacher.  He left about a month ago because his young wife is being treated for skin cancer and he has to take care of her.  I haven't seen him since, but he was always my favourite.  I probably won't see him again as he returns to work December and Ill be hitting the high road of new adventure, geography, and friends by November, so it was by far a sweeeeeeeet surprise on a day when I can never have enough sweetness.

Second sweet moment?

I checked my email today and got a letter from my littlest sister.  You can miss your family back home and the moments and memories theyre making without you, but everything is okay after you read a letter from an 11 year old sister. Here ya go: (sorry if this embarrasses you Leanne <3)

Dear,Na
Happy birthday!!
I was going to send u an online card but it wasn't working, so instead i decided
to write u a small but detailed email. How are you? Is everything good with your
credit cards and stuff? As you know before your birthday is NY, but she didn't come
home yet to celebrate! She is at Charlies house, well me and the cousin made cards
for her! Ryan made a very cute card that i use to do when i was his age. Nicolas
and Katelyn scribbled on a piece of paper and i wrote happy b-day with their names on it! I made NY a drawing! Its a picture of her, Charlie , Mimzy sitting down ,
Keira looking out the window, Keiko on a plane to Korea , all in the front yard!
I also made this craft thing that i got from my craft book , with a picture of NY
when she was my age on the back. I also made a small card for her . I am
kind of sad that we didn't get any b-day cake ! How about your birthday Na did
you celebrate? If you did how was it? I finally cleaned my room this summer all i have
to do is sweep, and clean the mess that the cousin did today. Ooh i forgot to tell you
since uncle works 7:00am to 5:00 pm and Tiem is working to 2:30pm to midnight
the cousins are going to be staying at are house to 2:30 to five everyday of the summer!
I made a daycare for them in my room. Now every week i do a test for them and
they will get a sticker if they get 2 or more answers right.Than i give them a sticker every time
they get 2 or more answers right or they achieve something well. At the end of the year i will
give them a jersy at the end of the year for all their hard work. I got the jersy from school if your
asking i did something to earn it. Katelyn is still scared of Tom every time she sees him she cries
and run into my arms, Ryan's, or her parents. We tried teaching her that Tom isn't bad by making give
candy to her it worked for that period of time. The next day she saw him she still cried. i quite
like that though we get so much candy like today when he gave her sour bells, it was really
good! Well i know theirs many adventures of the Hoang family that i didn't tell you yet,
but i will tell you one day.

p.s family said happy b-day!
love leanne
